The short version: Streaks stores everything you enter — your trackers, streak history, journal entries, and preferences — only on your device. None of it is ever sent to a server, and we have no access to it. To improve the app we use Google Firebase for usage statistics and crash reports (see section 5); these never contain your trackers or journal. Payments for Streaks Pro are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never sell your data.
1. Overview
Streaks is a personal habit-tracking app developed by Zico Bakker and published by ZiBa Entertainment (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The app helps you build and maintain daily habits by tracking streaks for activities such as fasting, sobriety, and personal wellness goals.
Your privacy is fundamental to how Streaks works. The app is designed with a local-first architecture: everything you enter stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. The only data that leaves your device is the usage and crash information described in section 5.
By using Streaks, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
We never collect what you enter in the app. Apart from the limited usage and crash information described in section 5, Streaks does not transmit data from your device.
The following information is stored locally on your device only and never leaves it:
- Tracker names and settings — the habits and activities you create and configure.
- Streak history — your logged daily progress for each tracker.
- Journal entries — the text you write and the mood ratings you record. These are entirely private and never shared.
- Notification preferences — the reminder times and frequencies you configure.
Streaks does not collect, access, or transmit any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any other identifying information
- Your location
- Your contacts or calendar
- Camera or microphone data
- Health or fitness data from HealthKit, Google Fit, or any other health platform
The app does not require an account or login of any kind, and it contains no advertising.
3. How We Use Information
All data stored by Streaks is used solely to provide the features of the app to you, on your device:
- Displaying your trackers, streak counts, and history
- Showing your journal entries and mood data
- Sending the local reminder notifications you have set up
- Remembering your language and app preferences between sessions
We do not use the data you enter for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app’s core features on your own device.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. The only parties involved are Google, as our processor for the Firebase services in section 5, and Google Play or the App Store for purchases (section 6).
4. Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage mechanisms. None of it is transmitted to any server operated by ZiBa Entertainment or any third party.
Because your data lives only on your device:
- We have no access to your data and cannot view, retrieve, or recover it.
- If you uninstall the app or clear its data in your device settings, all data is permanently deleted. We cannot recover it for you.
- If you switch devices, your data does not automatically transfer. You are responsible for backing up your data if you want to keep it.
To delete all Streaks data, simply uninstall the app or go to your device’s app settings and select “Clear Data” (Android) or delete and reinstall the app (iOS).
5. Usage Analytics and Crash Reports
To understand how the app is used, measure our own marketing and fix problems, Streaks uses two Google Firebase services. Google acts as our data processor under the Firebase Data Processing Terms.
- Firebase Analytics records app events, such as opening the app, viewing a screen, viewing the Streaks Pro offer (and what prompted it), starting a purchase, and a confirmed purchase or free-trial start (the product, its price and currency, and the store order ID), together with basic device information (device model, operating system and app version, language, approximate country derived from your IP address) and an app-instance ID. On Android it can also use your device’s advertising ID to measure which of our app-store campaigns bring in users. It does not receive your tracker names, streak history, journal entries or mood ratings.
- Firebase Crashlytics sends a technical report when the app crashes or hits an error: the stack trace, device model, operating system and app version, and an installation ID. It contains none of your trackers or journal entries.
We use this information only to improve the app and measure our own marketing, under our legitimate interest in running and improving it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We do not sell it, use it to show you ads, or combine it with other data to identify you. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. Google may process this data outside the EEA, including in the United States, relying on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings, and you can object to this processing, or ask for access to or deletion of this data, at any time by contacting us (section 10). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
6. In-App Purchases
Streaks offers an optional upgrade called Streaks Pro, available as a monthly or yearly subscription (which may start with a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. These transactions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
ZiBa Entertainment:
- Does not receive, process, or store any payment card details, billing address, or financial information of any kind.
- Receives only a platform-issued confirmation that the purchase was completed, which is used to unlock Streaks Pro features on your device. A record that a purchase or trial started (product, price, currency and store order ID) is also sent to Firebase Analytics, as described in section 5.
All payment data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy or the Google Payments Privacy Notice, depending on your platform.
7. Notifications
Streaks can send you reminder notifications for your habits. These notifications are:
- Fully local — they are scheduled and delivered by your device’s own operating system, with no involvement from any external server or push notification service.
- Entirely optional — you configure them yourself within the app and can disable them at any time in the app or in your device’s notification settings.
No notification-related data (such as delivery confirmations or interaction events) is transmitted to us or any third party.
8. Children’s Privacy
Streaks is a general-audience habit tracker and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app never collects what you enter; if you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete any related usage data.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. The most current version will always be available at the URL where you found this document and may be linked from the app’s store listings.
We encourage you to review this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
